Bow Ties

Real or a pastiche, they are so cheeky cool
right now. They might not be worn
with Bond like swagger but these guys
know the power of this old school classic!

Classic Strides

Chinos are back in a big way, or maybe
they never went away.
They are fresh and homey, masculine and
understated.
I love them with bright white canvas trainers
and a white shirt.
Also great with plaid!
Just observe the way they are worn above.

Pendants

Pendants are such a huge thing in fashion
at the moment.
I have seen some great ones on the street
and these ones are no exception.

All That Glitters

Gold.............

Gold. Spandeau Ballet sang about it.
Countries have fought wars over it.
People have moved to foreign lands
in search of it.
Pirates have buried it leagues under the sea.
Streets paved in it...well almost.
You have to notice this royal shade and
admire its brash brilliance.

Plugged in

There is no other accessory more prevalent
on the streets at the moment.
Whether they are the little white cords
dangling down half of our fronts, or the
chunky retro Headphones.
They enable us to have our own soundtrack
to march to, or to connect with the world
as we run to work.

So why not think of them as a piece of
jewellery.
I predict this is the way headphone design
will go.
Watch this space.

EAT

Street activities can work up a hunger..

Sometimes street food is better than any
other. A kebab on the run or sitting on the
sidewalk to enjoy a steaming bowl of
noodles.
I love Japanese for a quick fix myself.

Up ,Up and Away

The man of steel, able to leap tall buildings .. and all that.
No other superheroes emblem is so easily recognised
and sits on the chest of so many street style savvy.
Hero worship...nothing wrong with that.

All Stars

Some street wear brands are iconic.
The Converse Allstar has to be the
classic to beat all others on the street.
I have quite a few pairs myself. Love them.
They are so fresh and go with everything.
My favourites are my black leather
high-tops.
I wouldn't really post too many brands
on streetspaghetti, but these just are so
simple and perfectly designed that
I couldn't resist.

Style Icons

I have seen these totally recognizable faces
popping up all over the streets I have
travelled to recently. They are synonymous
with style and now they are signifiers of the
type of attitude and spirit their image
embodies.
It used to be that you bought a Tee at a
concert and then wore your music tastes
on your sleeve.
Now it is can be anyone from First Ladies to
domestic Goddesses that appear in the
most unexpected places.
But there will always be the face of an iconic
music legend in amongst them all.
Elvis might have left the building but is still
very much present on the streets.

Secret Gardens

There is something almost magical about a
garden in the middle of a busy street,
Tucked away in a corner, up a turret or in
the grounds of a museum or gallery.

I love the garden designed by white hot
Brazilian designers the Campana Brothers
in the V and A museum in London. Such a zen like
escape from the rush of the city outside its walls.
Or how about the jungle like explosion of
foliage bursting out of this little steeple like
structure in Hanoi, Vietnam.

We all need a little sanctuary in the city or
to feel the balance of order and chaos that
gardens are often about.
