Horror Story

Type faces are heading down a creepy street.
All melting , goo-filled, clawed at and aflame.
Read these tags at your own peril...

From the crisp clean lines of the stetson to this quirky
straw Cowboy hat below...I couldn't pull one off but
admire those that can!

Bookshops

Bookshops around the world part two..these images
bring back so many memories.
Especially the ones from Cuba.
Books seem to are an integral part of this city.
Bookshops are every where and they are so beautiful
and full of books with the most amazing graphics on
there well preserved covers.
It is even forbidden to remove antique books through
customs.
So I hope you enjoy a glimpse of them on this blog.

Up ,Up and Away

The man of steel, able to leap tall buildings .. and all that.
No other superheroes emblem is so easily recognised
and sits on the chest of so many street style savvy.
Hero worship...nothing wrong with that.

In The Hood

The hoody is a street style classic if ever
there was one. I love my grey
American Apparel hoody as it goes
with everything. It is my staple when
I want to feel as snug as a bug in the hood
in a hood.
It protects me from a sun shower, warms me
thrown over my gym gear and looks
just right under a black leather jacket.

I bet you have one in your closet.

Blondie

Blondie, Marilyn, Madonna, Princess Diana,
Bjorn Borg, Grace Kelly, Agyness Deyn,
Anna Nicole Smith, Britney......

If blondes really do have more fun as the cliche goes,
then the evidence is right here.

Crochet Chic

There is something very comfortingly crafty going on
with fashion at the moment. I don't know if some one's
Grandmother is working overtime or if Gen. Y have
discovered the art of crochet.

Any way, it has been hibernating for sometime and now is
back; this time not in the shape of table cloths and
doilies , but bags, vests and dresses.

The look is somewhat herbal chic with a dash of
Fleetwood flavour.
Stevie we love you for inspiring a whole new generation
of modern day gypsies!

Pink Hair?

Why have I seen pink hair everywhere
lately?
Admittedly some musk stick shades are
for fancy dress or costume, but others
have pink hair in a totally, no ironic,
I am going to rock pink hair , Harajuku
kind of way.
The thing is, they look so good .
So, Pink..get back those pink locks you
had ,back in the day, (before your
hen- party-rock anthems were born).

Pendants and Chains

There is something going on with.......

chunky chains and pendants.

Homemade, dripping with jewels or..
maybe lo-fi, with a cassette...so retro cool.

There is no in and out when it comes to
jewellery these days.
It has to suit the wearer and hopefully lift
the mood of all who admire it.
My favourite double ended religious icon
chain I bought in Brazil years ago has
just snapped...gone to God...
oh well!
So in it's memory, here are some
admirable neck pieces

Wallpapered...

I previously posted wallpapered on the
26th Oct, well I have decided to make
this a regular post as it was one of my
favourites.
I just love the layers of posters and fliers
peeling off a wall, or the gig guides
creating a funky wall covering.

Just takes me back to my bedroom wall
when I was 16!
