Offerings

I love all the garlands of flowers you see all over the
streets of India and Thailand.

In Thailand these offerings (such as the bottle of Fanta
with a sweet smelling garland of Jasmine around its
neck) are placed in the shadow of a building, to thank
Buddha for the use of the land it is built upon.

Monk

The thing I love about these shots is that it shows
months in a different light.
They are normally associated with their stoic, zen like
spirituality. Here you see them not only in meditation,
but scootering around , catching public transport,
laughing and just getting on with inner city life like all
of us.
Streetspaghetti is all about this .
Oh, and monks are usually the most elegantly dressed
on the street as well. Nothing like a saffron robe, brown
leather sandals, simple cotton satchels and sandalwood
beads . Don't you think?
