(in)famous red light districts ; Pigalle.

I love the way the small round windows contrast

with the large, expansive white wall of the clean facade.

The red type above the door, ' the Cigale' and

the sleek line of the roof just top it all off

to perfection.

The colour we are now embracing

as positive and fresh.

It wasn't so long ago, that green had

evil connotations.

Just look at old Batman comics...

Poison Ivy or The Riddler in their green

lycra.

Now it is the colour of the canopy of our

rainforests or those beautiful trees that line

our streets that we think of, and how

important it is to keep our planet green

with efficient power and recycling among

other things.

Go green has become our catch cry,

and many design elements of our cities

are reflecting just that.
