Architectural street

Sometimes amazing architecture brings something
to a street scape that elevates that streets aesthetic to
another level.
When the Eiffel Tower was built , not only did it do
this , but it created a whole new excitement in Paris and
changed the shape of architecture in general.
Frank Gehry's buildings have that effect also.
As have the sweeping Japanese influenced sweeping
roof of the Serpentine Cafe in Hyde park , London,
and the glass filled space station like Prada building
in Tokyo.
My favourite has to be the new Art Gallery in
Melbourne.
It has created such a buzz and has transformed this
pocket of the city into something really special;
an inner city , futuristic sanctuary.
