London really makes up for it's bad reputation when it
when it comes to the student riots of late, and political
or phone tapping scandals, with it's wonderful public
sculptures and art installations.
This one on the banks of the Thames in Westminster
has a collection of poems written by refugees.
Extremely powerful and often very moving, it
helps those who read these writings from the heart
empathize with the plight of those displaced and facing
a new set of challenges and often a new sense of
freedom in their new London home.
London really is a city so full of surprisingly touching
and interesting endeavors to raise social consciousness
and create more friendly and compelling public
spaces.
